
Pinemax specializes in selling their products through Promotional Marketing & Advertising distributors worldwide. To distinguish themselves from other ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute) companies, Pinemax only offers an exclusive selection of high-quality products.
The challenge was to separate Pinemax from the predictable corporate image associated with ASI catalogs. I worked closely with Eric Chen, senior designer at White Cell Studios, to come up with a design that not only appeals to distributors, but everyday shoppers. We went through many rounds of concepts before we decided to go with the design on the right.
Eric contributed the cover page and all the photography. He also had a huge hand in developing the organic motif seen throughout the catalog. I was given the task of designing all the interior pages. That included creating unique layouts for every page, working with typography, and retouching the product photos.
